Conflict Criminal Defend​er (CCD)

The Sacramento County Conflict Criminal Defenders (CCD), by Court appointment, provide legal representation to criminal defendants who are financially unable to retain counsel. The Sacramento Superior Court appoints CCD to cases where the Public Defender cannot provide representation because of a conflict of interest or insufficient staff.

District Attorney 

The District Attorney is an elected official who is responsible for and oversees the prosecution of cases brought to the office by over 40 federal, state and local agencies. Through local partnerships, the District Attorney's office leads and participates in several community-based initiatives affecting public safety.

Sacramento Superior Court of California

Upholds the constitution and statues of California with responsibilities to pre-trial, trial, and post-trial proceedings for civil, criminal, probate, family law, adoptions, juvenile dependency and delinquency and mental health proceedings.

Sheriff's Department 

The Sheriff is an elected official and is responsible for preserving the peace, preventing crime, enforcing laws, apprehending and detaining offenders throughout the unincorporated areas of Sacramento County.
